Marijuana Have Any Bearing On Trayvon Martin Case?
Trayvon Martin was apparently suspended from his school, for a period of 10 days, not long before he was shot and killed by George Zimmerman.
As thousands gather to protest the non-arrest of George Zimmerman more news about the incident keeps being uncovered. Will the marijuana suspension have any bearing on this case. So what will the latest revelations about Trayvon Martin being suspended for Marijuana residue play in this case?
Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman and Marijuana Residue
Are the two situations, Trayvon Martin being suspended from school and George Zimmerman shooting and killing Trayvon Martin seperate? Most likely, if we had to guess, the two incidents are mutually exclusive. I dare say that most Americans are familiar with Marijuana, having used it at least once in their lifetime. We all know that Marijuana is not a drug that generally causes one to become violent, in fact it’s pretty much the opposite. In any case none of this has anything to do with the killing of Trayvon by Zimmerman as the only thing that Martin was doing is walking down the street.
What If Trayvon Martin Was High on Marijuana The Day He Was Killed
The toxicology tests on Trayvon Martin are still pending and it’ll be some time before we know what substances may or may not have been in Trayvon Martins system yet even if you believe that Trayvon headed to the store to buy candy because he had the “munchies,” brought on by the use of Marijuana, the fact remains that Marijuana is not traditionally a drug that is associated with violence like Methamphetamine.
Whether Trayvon Martin was high on Marijuana or not while walking down the street, the point remains that George Zimmerman was told not to follow him and that the Police were on their way. Nevertheless, a very eager George Zimmerman failed to obey the Police and followed Trayvon Martin. George Zimmerman, for whatever reason, engaged Trayvon Martin and in the end George Martin shot and killed Trayvon Martin.
Two Wrongs & Marijuana Don’t Make A Right
Whether Trayvon Martin had Marijuana in his system on the day George Zimmerman killed him is entirely besides the point. A better question is why was the Neighborhood Watch Captain armed with a handgun? Why did the Neighborhood Watch Captain disobey the Police and follow Trayvon Martin? Finally, why did the Neighborhood watch captain, George Zimmerman, engage Trayvon Martin and kill him?
Whether Trayvon Martin was high on Marijuana is completely besides the point, the fact remains that he was walking down a street I think we want to know what sort of drugs may have been in George Zimmerman’s system.
